Overview
Pudsey's roots can be traced back over 1,000 years and boomed during the Industrial Revolution when the town boasted 22 textile mills. Now a vibrant market town conveniently located between Leeds and Bradford, it boasts a variety of bars, restaurants, parks and excellent shopping opportunities. And of course, perhaps Pudsey's biggest claim to fame is that it lends its name to the BBC TV's Children in Need Pudsey Bear!
Shopping
Pudsey has a wide variety of quality shopping – if the local Woolworths or Boots don't meet your needs, why not try the Owlcotes Shopping Centre which provides the largest two-storey supermarket in the country with Marks and Spencer next door. Alternatively the newly refurbished Pudsey market operates on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and look out for the monthly farmers' market with a range of stalls selling meat, fish, dairy produce, organic fruit and vegetables, delicatessen and craftware.

Restaurants and bars
Pudsey has a fantastic selection of bars and restaurants, from traditional Fish and Chips at the world famous Wetherby Whaler to a spicier selection at Pudsey's very own Aagrah Indian restaurant. All drink tastes are catered for, whether your preference is a pint at The Worlds End or an exotic cocktail at the ultra swish Bar 51.
